Network Broadcast Operations Network

Formula 1 - Broadcast Media Operations Network Design & Build

The Circuit of the Americas - located just outside Austin, Texas tapped Digital Planet to help design and build out a robust 40GB Fiber-Optic network akin to a City Wide Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) due to the extensive data flowing around the racetrack with wireless telemetry data, video, audio and operations signaling equipment as well as Internet access.

We partnered with Cisco Systems to build a massive 20 mile fiber ring with over 1200 miles end-to-end of single and multi-mode fiber allowing for the transfer of over a petabyte of data per hour across all the links and endpoints.

Portable Satellite Communications - emergency, rural, grid failure

We were recently asked to come up with a creative way to provide a way for remote surveillance. Our team went to work and were able to fabricate a system that allowed for remote monitoring of operations via a SatCom link 26000 miles into space and back to connect their corporate security team to the extreme remote location for job site review.

FarmNet - South Kentucky

Digital Planet traveled south to Kentucky to construct the first of many USDA grant funded wireless upgrades for the now 6 year old FarmNet Cooperative. These upgrades included new OpenMesh 802.11N repeaters & AirFiber backhauls that were installed on farm house rooftops, tobacco barn peaks and grain silos for maximum height and signal penetration.
